Jefferson Batista Viscardi is an Italian-Brazilian physician-to-be (EU citizen — Italy), completing his medical training at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR), Argentina — currently in his final clinical internship (Práctica Final Obligatoria, Cohort 75). His goal is to build an academic career in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, with a concrete objective: Médecin Assistant en Psychiatrie in French-speaking Switzerland.
He is the author of 7 peer-reviewed publications, covering Precision Psychiatry, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Artificial Intelligence applied to medicine, depression, and eating disorders in the context of bariatric surgery.
Before medicine, he built an international career in luxury hospitality (Brazil, United Kingdom, France, United States, 1999–2011) — he lived and worked in France for two years (Paris, 2005–2007), an experience that continues to inform his ongoing development of French. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (UNISUL, 2014), with training in ethics and epistemology that underlies his interest in phenomenological psychopathology.
Since 2012, he has independently conducted a long-term qualitative research project, using a phenomenological approach, documenting religious and spiritual practices in depth.
Founder of JV Studios (independent audiovisual production company, active since 2014), producing three ongoing projects:
Jerfow MD — a podcast and video series on medical education and science communication, featuring reviews of medical topics.
Dialogue with the Spirits (Diálogo com os Espíritos) — an independent qualitative research and science communication project, documenting religious and spiritual practices from a phenomenological, non-doctrinal perspective.
Grandmother Vicentina (Vó Vicentina) — a philosophical communication project exploring ethical and moral reflection through a character.
A multilingual profile (native Portuguese; advanced French, English, and Spanish; intermediate Italian; basic German), Jefferson brings together critical thinking, clinical practice, and scientific research in pursuit of a person-centered, evidence-based psychiatry.
